100 YEARS: Nuclear Energy's Influence on American Pop Culture

 | Spring 2017

100 YEARS is Rachel Ivanoff's BFA final culminating project. A time-line for the purpose of visualizing accumulated data was created around the intersection between Nuclear Energy and American Pop Culture. The time-line presents the history of Nuclear Energy’s placement in the history of television series, video games, comic books, and movies. The project is directed at informing a general public about the way nuclear energy has affected the American way of life (culturally speaking).

The approach was not that of advocacy but that of  education and engagement. The installed timeline was on display in the Cornish Bebee Building in Seattle from April 27th - May 14th 2017. A full size timeline is available for digital viewing in the link below as well as the Icon Key book
